Airport and Hotel Information

I am excited to host the 2025 National Conference on Percussion Pedagogy (NCPP) in the Department of Music on the University of Texas at Arlington campus from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday lunchtime, May 18-20, 2025.  

There are two airports available to those flying into the metroplex. The larger Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is 21 minutes north from the campus area. The smaller Dallas-Love Field Airport is located in further away in Dallas and is a 40-minute drive to campus. Rideshare companies also provide direct travel to your hotel from these airports. 

Please note the Arlington area hosts several events for entertainment. Traffic may be heavy at times in the north Arlington area and contribute to hard-to-find hotels in the area if not booked through the conference.  

If planning on arriving on Saturday, May 17, 2025, there will be limited rooms throughout the Arlington and unfortunately not at the reduced rate. However, the Texas Rangers, winner of the 2023 MLB World Series, will play a game Saturday, May 17th in their indoor baseball stadium at 6:05pm. 

If driving your own vehicle, please purchase parking ahead of time using the procedures outlined below. Parking on campus is free on the weekends; you will only need a parking permit for Monday through Tuesday.

Our 2025 NCPP Host Hotels are north of the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) campus and the UTA Department of Music located at 700 Greek Row Drive. UTA does not provide parking for any event including concerts.
